In the year 2001, 2 years before becoming a teacher through the Teaching Fellows program, I created a video on Assistive Technologies.
We shot it at MacWorld, and focused on a young man who was inflicted with Spinal Muscular Atrophy, a disease that left him unable to move almost all the muscles in his body.
It was a short 4 minute video created for an Internet Television program that I worked for called TECH FRONTIERS. Thought you might enjoy it. Posted it at:

It was made in the year 2001, but still seems very relevant.

Great video. It just shows that technology can accomodate people even with the most severe handicaps. It allows the mainstream population to see that these individuals have talents and gifts which otherwise would never be seen.
This is a terrific demonstration of the hidden talent technology allows to be unveiled. It's amazing that technology can help in so many ways. Thanks for sharing this. It's definitely worth sharing with the others to get yet another perspective on the possibilities.
Very impressive demonstration of how much assistive technologhy can transform a person's life, making it meaningful and productive.
